What gets you going on a daily basis?
Is it food, work, pleasure, entertainment of God's word?
Everything else gives limited strength to live, the word of God gives you Love, Holy Ghost Power and soundness of mind which is necessary when problems arise.
Instructing young Timothy, Apostle Paul said, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).
The Holy Ghost gives us three "fuels" for daily life namely, LOVE, POWER AND A SOUND MIND.
1. LOVE REIGNS SUPREME
In a world devoid of Love, today's Christian believers must ensure that they operate under love.
The Bible prophesies that in the last days the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12).
Flow against that tendency and seek to Love always.
Apostle Paul said, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." (1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV).
The Holy Spirit helps you to love best.
"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." (Rom 5:5).
2. HOLY GHOST POWER
Daily life in a challenging world needs another source of power besides the material and financial sources.
Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8 KJV).
This power comes to those who receive and are led by the Holy Spirit.
Initially and daily receive God's word and the Holy Spirit so that He leads you and sanctifies you.
3. SOUND MIND INSTEAD OF FEAR
Prevalent in most communities and sometimes among believers is lack of soundness in mind.
Sometimes people live scared, intimidated or afraid of nothing, people, circumstances or anything.
Solomon said, "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe." (Proverbs 29:25 KJV).
When you allow fear you expose yourself to control by evil spirits.
Fear can lead to hatred, bitterness, anger, wrath and malice.
Take heed to what Joshua was instructed, "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:9 KJV).
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Throw away hatred, weakness and fear.
In prayer and practice put on Love, Power and Sound mind.
Live it out, let it not be talk only.
Walk in love, talk in love and communicate with love.
Cast away fear of anything or anyone. Fear God only!
Receive daily soundness from God.
As the days starts, sing: "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."(Psalm 118:24 KJV)
As you sleep pray: "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8 KJV).
BIBLE VERSE TO MEDITATE ON:
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
(2 Timothy 1:7 KJV).
