POWER TIME WORD DAILY DEVOTION with Overseer Mukwena

BIBLE READING:
Luke 6:27,35-37 and 10:27-28
John 13:34-35
1 Corinthians 13:13

The world's major currencies operate under threat of fake notes.

Criminals print notes that look more genuine than the actuals.

But they cannot fake true love.

Apostle Paul spent most of 1 Corinthians 13 describing this true love because the Corinthians were a church with many challenges.

He had to show them a more excellent way - the way of love which, with attendant grace and mercy, fulfilled the Old Testament way of law, justice and judgement.

He concluded monologue by saying, "Now abideth faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Corinthians 13:13).

God's word reckons that if one is born again, and has Jesus as Lord and Saviour, they will have no problem loving other Christians.

JESUS NEW COMMANDMENT TO FULFIL MANY LAWS

Jesus himself said, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:34-35 KJV).

He further said, "But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. (Luke 6:27,35-37 KJV).

Jesus came promoting love, grace and mercy even towards enemies.

Aim for Jesus' LOVE GOD AND NEIGHBOUR high standard.

The Lord Jesus also said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength and with all thy mind; And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live." (Luke 10:27-28 KJV).

Take note that if you love God and your neighbour as yourself, you will live.

Many things live when love reigns supreme because it is the backbone which sustains life.

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Allow God's love (Romans 5:5) and attendant grace and mercy to rule in your life.

God's love helps you to forgive and patience to endure while faith and hope sustain you through challenges in life.

Do not allow your love to grow cold as per the end time prophesy, "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." (Matthew 24:12 KJV).

Make a choice to love and live by it.

With faith nothing is impossible. (Mark 9:23).

With hope you will never be ashamed. (Romans 5:5)

Enter every situation through the Love gate and stay successful through Faith and Hope.

BIBLE VERSE TO MEDITATE ON:

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength and with all thy mind; And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live."

(Luke 10:27-28 KJV).
