CAN A WOUNDED HEART BE HEALED?
Yes, By Jesus Christ!

Hurts, heartaches and heartbreaks may come from self infliction, as you get into trouble because of your own errors, mistakes and fallibility.

Sometimes heartbreaks come from the rejection, derision, refusal, ridicule or dislike you may have witnessed in your early life or now.

Do not worry.

No one will endeavour to mend broken hearts with sellotape and cheap strings.

The Master Surgeon General - JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth is there for that, having settled the medical and Heavenly Health Service bill with his blood.

GO TO JESUS

Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 KJV).

All you have to do is to come to him. In prayer you can ask him to heal you.

GOD'S WORD IS THERAPEUTIC

Jeremiah cried, "For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?" (Jeremiah 8:21-22 KJV).

Like the Good Samaritan, Jesus will pour in the oil and wine - to disinfect all hurt seeking things that may have come in.

STAY IN FELLOWSHIP

Hurts hurt most when you are alone.

Stay in fellowship. Isolation from believers will worsen the problem.

Stay in communication, fellowship and communion with other believers (Hebrews 10:25), even if they are not perfect, they only need to be God-given.

HEALING BY GOD'S WORD

"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalm 107:20 KJV).

The Almighty God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, comes with giving life to the Word of God that you hear and meditate on.

This is why David prayed, "Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." (Psalms 61:1-2 KJV).

You are healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 53:1-5).

RECOMMENDED ACTION

PRAYER GUIDANCE: If you have witnessed hurts, pain and wounding, then pray in agreement with the Psalmist, "Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Hear me speedily, O Lord : my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit." (Psalm 143:4-7 KJV).
