MESSAGE

In Macbeth, Shakespeare's shortest tragedy, a brave Scottish general named Macbeth received a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland.

Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murdered King Duncan and took the throne for himself.

Wrecked by subsequent guilt and paranoia, he became a tyrannical ruler and was forced to commit more and more murders to protect himself from enmity and suspicion.

The bloodbath and consequent civil war swiftly took Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of arrogance, madness, and ultimately death.

What started as a casual prophecy by seemingly innocent fortune tellers led Macbeth into a trap of evil doing.

In the Bible King Saul is reported to have displeased God by consulting a witch. (1 Samuel 28:7-25).

FATE, FORTUNE OR LUCK

Your life as a child of God is not determined by fate or fortune but by the Lord Jesus Christ in whom all things hold together (Colossians 1:17-18).

David said, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2 KJV).

Since you live, move and have you being in Christ (Acts 20:17), your life is not subject to fate or fortune but is determined by the Almighty God.

CONSULTING THE OCCULT IS FORBIDDEN

The Bible forbids consulting fortune tellers, horoscopes, lucky charms, fate in the stars, palm reading, fortune telling, witches or any other occult related practices like yoga and transcendental meditation (Deuteronomy 18:10, Leviticus 19:31, Exodus 22:18 and Isaiah 8:18).

ALL THINGS ARE YOURS

There is no need to consult any such things.

God, in Christ, has already given you all things richly to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).

Should you desire anything what God wants you to do is simply to ask him (Matthew 7:7 and John 14:13-14).

YOU NEED TO KNOW GOD NOT THE FUTURE

There is no need to know the future to feel safe and secure.

You need to know God, "for the people that know their God shall stand and take exploits." (Daniel 11:32).

The just shall live by his faith (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17 and Hebrews 10:38), not by the fore telling of what will happen.

Do not be deveived by anyone including those who come with spiritist pseudo-prophetic utterances about the future.

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Affirm your trust in God and refuse any other sources of help and guidance.

Discard all artefacts associated with luck, fate, occult or fortune telling.

Do not consult or get involved with fortune tellers, luck charms, horoscopes, fate in the stars, palm reading, witches or any other occult related practices like yoga and transcendental meditation.

As in New Testament - burn all such things and if you are already stuck or bound in them - seek immediate pastoral help and deliverance in the name of Jesus Christ.

Declare, "My help cometh from the Lord , who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2 KJV).

Know God and His will as revealed in the Bible.

BIBLE VERSE TO MEDITATE ON

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth."

(Psalm 121:1-2 KJV).
