POWER TIME WORD DAILY DEVOTION with Overseer Mukwena

BIBLE READING
Psalms 126:5-6
Proverbs 3:9-10
Malachi 3:9-12
2 Corinthians 6:19-20 & 8:5

MESSAGE

The Psalmist said, "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." (Psalm 126:5-6 KJV).

Ideally, God wants you to give joyfully and cheerfully.

However, you may sow in tears but you will rejoice during the harvest. (Ibid.)

GIVE YOURSELF TO GOD FIRST

The word of God says, "Ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV).

If you are not your own and you were bought then you and all yours belong to someOne.

Do as the Philippians did.

Paul himself said, "This they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God." (2 Corinthians 8:5 KJV).

DEVOTION, SACRIFICE AND COMMITMENT

God fills our hearts with joy when we willingly bring our tithes and offerings to Him.

God deserves our absolute devotion.

We have been created to worship God, and we give financially as an expression of worship.

Giving financially to God through this servants in the church produces the joy of fulfilling our calling as His followers.

JOY OF WORKING FOR GOD

God’s work is great, and we give financially to continue His work in the world besides to ensure that the needs in the house for the Lord are met.

God has given us the responsibility to glorify Him by winning and leading people around the world to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

When we give financially to God through his servants, we discover the joy of working for something bigger than ourselves.

We find the joy of partnering together with others and with God in His mission of love to the world.

WORSHIP

God is the source of life, and we give to worship him and to declare our dependence on Him.

When we give financially through his servants, we celebrate our dependence on the One who cares for us and is leading us each day to the very best in life.

God calls us to faithfulness. (Luke 16:10).

He calls us to honor Him with our tithes and offerings. (Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:10-12).

He calls us to celebrate our dependence on Him, discovering the joy of His compassionate care for us through the details of our lives.

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Develop a correct view of bringing your tithes and offering as a means of offering worship, devotion and honour to God.

Choose today to be faithful in little things.

Being a tenth, a tithe is indeed a little compared to the nine tenths which are yours.

Honour God in thought, word and deed.

BIBLE VERSE TO MEDITATE ON

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."

(Psalm 126:5-6 KJV).
